Just heard two quick notes from a Calfire spokeswoman on AM 600 KOGO’s news report. Sounds like they’re doing controlled burns of leftover ‘fuel’ within existing fire perimeters to make sure it’s all gone..and that this is creating a lot of new smoke visible from the East County Area.
The spokeswoman said this was because additional “wind events” were expected for the weekend.
